On November 3, the Oregon/SW Washington Chapter held a lively fundraising event featuring energetic rounds of Brunch Bingo, raffles for enviable prizes and creative Kid’s Room activities for COMTO members and their families, friends and supporters. The Family Fun Day and Scholarship Fundraiser drew more than 60 guests and online donors, who raised money for transportation industry-focused scholarships in higher education and technical training.
Chapter President Millicent Williams gave special thanks to the members who put the November 3rd event together, led by Chapter Secretary/Event Chair/Fundraising Co-Chair, Natasha Muro. “Thanks to you and the team for your professionalism, your willingness to serve and your commitment,” she said. She also reminded chapter members to “be on the lookout for emails about our COMTO Week Schedule of Activities which will be held November 13-16.”
Founded in 1971 on the campus of Howard University in Washington, DC, the Conference Of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) was created to provide a forum for minority professionals in the transportation industry.
