President & Chief Executive Officer

A. Bradley Mims serves as President and CEO of the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO), the nation’s leading advocacy organization for minority professionals and businesses in the transportation and infrastructure industry.

Mr. Mims has served as a transportation professional in government and the private sector for over forty years. Tara B. McDaniel

Chief of Staff

Tara McDaniel began her career in Washington, D.C. as Staff Assistant to Congressman John Lewis (D-GA). She then went on to serve in the House Majority Whip Office as a Chief Deputy Majority Whip Executive Assistant. Tara then served as Legislative Assistant for the National Women’s Business Council at the US Small Business Administration and Director of Member and Financial Services for the DC-based Executive Leadership Council.

Tara relocated to Dallas where she served as the Director of the Dallas/Fort Worth Minority Business Development Center, assisting and advocating for small and minority-owned businesses. She then transitioned into the transportation industry and served as public relations manager and spokesperson for the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and then primary spokesperson for American Airlines. Gatwiri Muthara

Membership & Communications Manager

Gatwiri Muthara has more than 20 years of experience in member relations, public relations, news writing and reporting, social media, video production, web content management, business development and event production in the non-profit, corporate and federal sectors. She previously held positions at AARP, the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging, Sodexo and Arnold & Porter LLP.

       
     

 

mariah stanley

Program Manager

Mariah Stanley is an experienced Program Manager in the area of Workforce Development with a demonstrated history of working in the Transportation Industry. She is skilled in nonprofit management, government contracting, team building, proposal writing, and fundraising. She is a strong media and communications professional with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) focused in Business/Corporate Communications from Trinity Washington University. Previously, Mariah worked as an Educational Services Coordinator for the public transit sector, developing workforce programs and best practices in the areas of higher education and youth and student outreach. She also previously worked at COMTO, during her undergraduate years as the Special Assistant to the former President & CEO, Julie Cunningham.
